Morgan Taylor Dia de los Muertos featuring Born Pretty Bats
September 28, 2016Morgan Taylor Dia de los Muertos featuring Born Pretty Bats- Press sample
I hope you guys are prepared for a bunch of Halloween themed manis this month. I'm going to do my best to cram as many spooky manis as my fingers and sanity will allow. To recreate today's look you will need the Morgan Taylor Dia de los Muertos collection, and Born Pretty Animal Theme plate (item #20795).
I started with a full coverage mani using Morgan Taylor Shock Therapy. If you don't own a bright purple like that I would recommend picking up the set. It's wonderfully vibrant!
Once Shock Therapy dried I sponged over a gradient using Shock Therapy and Little Black Dress. It isn't entirely blended, but I like how it turned out.
The next step was to add the Glow in the Dark Top Coat. I would personally recommend skipping that step because I wasn't able to get it to glow over purple or black. Instead of using the glow in the dark top coat, I would add a matte top coat to create contrast.
Once the glow in the dark coat dried I stamped over it using Morgan Taylor Little Black Dress and Born Pretty Animal Theme plate (item #20795).
Products used
- Born Pretty Animal Theme plate (item #20795)
- Morgan Taylor Dia de los Muertos (Little Black Dress, Shock Therapy, Glow in the Dark Top Coat)
- Clear jelly stamper
- Makeup sponge
I just love how spooky this turned out! My only regret is that the background didn't glow.
Don't forget that you can use code CBLW10 for 10% off regularly priced items in the Born Pretty Store. There's no sense in paying full price if you don't have to!
