Notes: As a lover of all things green, this shade is a must for me. During the first application I had minor issues with leveling. I believe this to be due to our incredibly high (80%+) humidity at the time. After retesting this shade I was unable to replicate the issue.

Notes: This is the buttercream/light yellow I've been searching for. It's going to make for some great undies.

Notes: I'm not usually an orange fan, but this shade reminds me of my grandparent's decor growing up. It's a fun shade, and not nearly as violent as some other shades of orange.

Coverage: 1 coat

Notes: This is shown over Go Suck Someplace Else, Hi Loser, and I Made A Little Sculpture of You respectively. It's a great flakie topper that works with just about any shade.

Hello world! I'm so happy to be here. I'm part of a fun idea called 'The Switching Post'! What's that you ask? The blogger behind Boomshakalacquer set up a group of bloggers to switch posts! This time around, I am switching with the wonderful Courtney! A little bit about me (one of the sisters behind Streets Ahead Style): I'm a 20-something living in Toronto, working in the beauty marketing industry and I'm also obsessed with indie nail polish. I love having something sparkly on my nails because it makes me smile and it's my one creative outlet. Enough about me... onto the nail polish!

Rainbows and cats and nail poilsh are kind of my thing. So if you're familiar with Nyan Cat (I've included a super awesome GIF below for your reference) and Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer, then you will know how excited I was when I finally got my hands on Nyan Siren from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer!!!

Nyan Siren is/was a Limited Edition polish from May 2015. Nyan Siren is described by the maker as a “slightly pink almost lavender crelly packed with a rainbow of glitters.” And because I just can't leave good enough alone... I topped this baby off with ILNP My Private Rainbow (X) for some extra sparkle! If you aren't familiar with Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer, her polishes are INCREDIBLE! (FYI, I don't even get samples for her, I am just a huge fan!). I am wearing 2 coats of polish and one thin coat of My Private Rainbow X with a thick coat of top coat to smooth everything out. I wore this polish without any chipping and barely any tip wear for an entire week! I just LOVE the mix of glitters in the pink base. 

The next step was to create a flower decal using one of my UberChic plates. I stamped the flower in black, strategically dabbed on Zoya Monet, and finished up the flower with Zoya Elodie. I was a bit concerned that Monet wouldn't mesh well with the decal, but I was plesantly surprised with the outcome.

Coverage: 2 coats

Notes: This shade leaves me speechless every time I wear it. I may be in the minority when it comes to brown polish, but this one is especially nice.

I started with a "smoosh" style base using a variety of blues and a blue tinted white. I could have stopped here, but this is a Game of Thrones mani. I should probably tell you why I picked blues for my base. My dear friend Kendahl got me hooked on Lularoe leggings by sending me this badass dire wolf pattern. From the moment they arrived, I was certain that they would inspire at least one manicure.

Once Sour Caramel Apple dried I stamped over it using a metallic purple and a skull stamp. You can check out the full products list below:

Finish: Blue crelly packed with various glitters

Coverage: 2 coats

Notes: This is one of those shades that layers wonderfully. It's thin enough to let you see the glitter in previous layers without being too sheer. 

I can rarely leave anything alone these days, so I topped A Certain Shade of Green with Essie Matte About You. 

*Be sure to give your polish plenty of time to dry after using a matte top coat. They tend to take longer to dry than other top coats.

Once that had ample time to dry, I stamped over it using UberChic 2-03 and Sinful Colors Snow Me White.
