Origami Paper Animals featuring Joy Lacquer
February 21, 2017Origami Paper Animals featuring Joy Lacquer- Press sample
Hey guys! I'm back with some origami paper animal nail art, and a sneak preview of the upcoming Joy Lacquer Sugar High collection. The collection will be debuting at The Indie Shop in Atlanta on March 11th. This isn't a formal review of that collection, but I wanted to use Watermelaloupe from the collection as my base color for this nail art look.
Today's challenge prompt for the #clairestelle8feb challenge is "toys". Since I wasn't feeling terribly creative, I decided to cheat a little bit and use this cute origami plate from Harunouta.
Origami can totally be argued as being a toy, right? I remember countless hours of making frogs, paper airplanes, and those inflatable "balloons".
I can't say that I've ever tried to make an origami crane, bunny or mouse, but I thought they were too cute not to include.
Since my current new obsession is to make everything matte, I decided to make this whole look matte to soften things up. I think I prefer it matte as it softens the overall appearance.
