JORD Wood Watches Review and Giveaway
September 28, 2015Press sample
I was recently approached by JORD Wood Watches to try and review one of their gorgeous timepieces. In all honesty I haven't worn a watch in years because I couldn't find one that really spoke to me. Everything I came across was too flashy, or uninspired. Upon viewing the JORD website I realized that they do things differently. I wasn't looking at the same old watch of yesteryear, rather a unique, back-to-basics design with a natural twist.
My custom fitted watch came in a classic wood box neatly packed on a tweed pillow. The presentation was exquisite while maintaining a minimalist appearance.
I opted for the Fieldcrest series in Dark Sandalwood. I tend to gravitate toward darker woods, and this one really spoke to me. The minimalist design allows me to transition between a variety of looks without requiring me to change my watch.
As a true Oregonian, I have a special appreciation for nature. I feel as though my JORD wood watch represents that sentiment without needing to say a word.
There are so many ways I could style my watch, but I thought it would be best to show you how it inspired my nails. I picked a teal green from Firecracker Lacquer called A Stone to Resurrect, and stamped over it using UberChic plate 4-02.
I chose to keep the design simple with a natural motif to complement the natural grain of the watch.
JORD Wood Watches come in a variety of different styles and price ranges. Simpler models like the Fieldcrest in Dark Sandalwood start at $120. For something more intricate the pricing currently tops off around $295. All watches come with custom sizing and free shipping.
The wonderful people of JORD want one of you lucky readers to experience the natural luxury of a JORD Wood Watch. The giveaway will run from 9/28 to 10/5 and is open internationally.
What are your thoughts on watches? Do you prefer something showy or are you more of a minimalist?
