I needed something super bright after all of those vampy manis this month. Here's some nail art I did using a couple colors from Baroness X Southland Sunsets collection.

This one is fairly self explanitory. I started with two coats of Laguna Lime on my middle and ring finger. I used the unnamed purple on my index and pinky fingers. Once Laguna Lime dried on my middle finger I laid down the nail vinyl and painted over it with the unnamed purple. As soon as that was fully covered I peeled off the vinyl and covered everything with a top coat.

Lotus Flower Mani featuring Bliss Polish and UberChic Beauty

I'm a new Bliss Polish convert, but I'm falling hard and fast for her gorgeous shades. In my continuous journey to get through my untrieds, I pulled out Bliss Polish Bye Felicia and Cherished to create a delicate lotus flower manicure.

I started with a two coats of Bye Felicia (chocolate), and three coats of Cherished (white). Once that had dried completely I stamped over Bye Felicia with UberChic Far East 01 and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Rose Run.

This mani definitely made my favorites list. I don't think I could have come up with a better pairing.

Painted Polish Lumber-jacked featuring UberChic Beauty Stamping

I've always been a fan of brown polish, but for some reason I didn't pick up Painted Polish Lumber-jacked until recently. It was originally part of the Fall 2015 releases, and is currently marked as retiring. What made me decide to pick this shade up was this gorgeous mani by @paintedbyjess.

I started with two coats of Lumber-jacked, and stamped over it using Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Navy Fleet and UberChic plate 2-02. It's really difficult to tell, but my ring finger reads "Home Is Wherever I Am With You".

Holographic Hearts for Valentine's Day featuring Girly Bits Cosmetics

When I started planning for February I only intended on doing one or two heart themed manicures. As of right now, I think I'm up to about five heart manicures total. I joined a couple last minute nail art challenges, and they both called for hearts. My apologies if you are getting sick of them.

The real challenge for me is to create nail art using products from my untrieds. If I'm lucky, I can use a couple at a time. Now that my stash is a little more manageable, I'm down to using one at a time.

Valentine's day stamped manicure with hearts

This simple look requires you to start with a base of Girly Bits I Am Calm. If you apply thicker coats this is definitely a one coater. I ended up retouching a couple spots so that I didn't have to apply a second coat. Once that dried I stamped over it using Color Club Harp On It.

I love the holographic effect of Harp On It, but I was bummed that it out shined I Am Calm. In person I Am Calm has quite a red shimmer to it, and was not at all outdone by Harp On It. I definitely think my daylight bulbs are to blame in this instance. Regardless of how it photographed, I was really happy with the outcome.

Darling Diva Polish Moar Wine Nao and You Killed Frosty

Today I wanted to share something kind of geared towards Valentine's Day without it being covered in hearts. I also wanted a reason to play with a couple gorgeous shades I won from Darling Diva Polish. I think I'll title this: You Killed Frosty! Moar Wine Nao!

You obviously need more wine if you are upset over people murdering snowmen. Anyway... this mani is super easy to do. I started with two coats of Moar Wine Nao and dabbed a large iridescent glitter at the base of the nail from You Killed Frosty. The glitter compliments the holo in More Wine Nao quite well.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but both of these colors are no longer in stock. I have no idea if they will come back next year, so keep an eye out on those destashes! You certainly won't find these in mine.

Speaking of destashes, how do you like to shop them? Would you prefer one on Instagram, Google Docs, or a storefront of some kind? What about mystery boxes? I have a lot of colors I need to rehome, and would love your input!

Bliss Polish Game Face Featuring Girly Bits Cosmetics Lack of Pies Hearts

This is one of those times were an idea looked way better in my head. I was trying to come up with something fun for a nail art challenge, and really messed this up.

I paired Bliss Polish Game Face and Girly Bits Cosmetics Lack of Pies because the shimmer in Game Face is really close (if not the same) as Lack of Pies. Unfortunately the shimmer in Game Face didn't show up as much as I thought it would, and I was left with this hot mess.

It's definitely NOT my favorite mani, but it could have been worse. The original plan was to use a triangle vinyl on my middle finger so that I could cover up a good portion of Lack of Pies with Game Face. I wanted a little bit of the green, but not a full finger of it. Thank goodness I had the sense to test that out on my right hand, because it looked awful.

I want to be really clear that I love these colors on their own, but I would never, ever pair them together again.

Valentine's Day Hearts featuring UberChic Beauty and Sinful Colors

I promised Valentine's Day nails, so hopefully these don't disappoint. I personally loved them enough to wear them for two days which is practically a record for my short attention span.

I started with a base of Polished By KPT Love on Magnolia. Once that was dry I added a single coat of Sinful Colors Devil's Stare. I was tempted to add another coat for depth, but I didn't want the mani to become too thick. Once the previous layers had sufficiently dried I stamped over the whole mani with Sinful Colors Snow Me White and UberChic Beauty plate 1-03.

Simple Valentine's Day Hearts with Painted Polish and UberChic Beauty

While I love the red, pink and white Valentine's manis, I needed something with more pizzazz today. Painted Polish Seductress was lurking in my untrieds, so I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to use it. Let's start off with a close up of those glorious flakies.

Unf. So pretty, right?

I didn't want to cover the polish up too much, so I opted for some simple stamping over the top of it using silver polish and one of my UberChic Beauty plates.

I'm happy with how this turned out, and the fact that you can still see a good portion of Seductress.

After all of those crazy colors sometimes it's nice to just settle down with a nice pink holo. Polished by KPT Love on Magnolia is a warm, raspberry pink with holographic micro glitter.

Formula: Nice consistency

Finish: Raspberry pink holo

Coverage: 2 coats

Notes: The formula was exactly what I would expect for a polish like this. I was really pleased with the holographic finish.

Conclusion

I'm quite fond of my first polish from Polished By KPT. I definitely see myself shopping with her in the future. You can find Love on Magnolia, and an assortment of other colors on her website.

Sweet Heart Polish Second Star to the Right & Rainbow Honey Celestial Hydra

I think this is officially the last wintery mani of the year. I know it's technically winter for a few more months, but I am ready for those soft spring shades. This was another pairing straight from my untried drawer. As I write this, I am down to twenty untried colors. I think that's the lowest I've been since last summer.

Sweet Heart Polish Second Star to the Right Rainbow Honey Celestial Hydra

This may look like a somewhat odd paring, but Rainbow Honey Celestial Hydra has a shimmer that really compliments the Sweet Heart Polish.

For this look I used two coats of Sweet Heart Polish Second Star to the Right and three coats of Rainbow Honey Celestial Hydra.

Now that I look back on this mani I feel like it could have used some stamping over the Rainbow Honey. What do you guys think?

Emily de Molly Steeling Diamonds & Jindie Nails The Blue That Holds Us Together

I'm temporarily boycotting reds to get through a few more wintery manis. In my continued quest to get through my untrieds I pulled out two blues that I thought would compliment each other nicely.

I used three coats of Emily de Molly Steeling Diamonds and two coats of Jindie Nails The Blue That Holds Us Together to get this look. Once the Jindie was nearly dry, I applied two studs as an accent.

I like how these two look together, but I am done with this winter weather!

Fleur de Lis Polish The Krewe Collection

Working with new indies is always a fun thing for me. I feel like new makers tend to lead with a collection that speaks to what they are most passionate about. Today I have Fleur de Lis Polish's first collection which was inspired by Mardi Gras Krewes.

Bacchus

Formula: Nice consistency

Finish: Blurple jelly with holographic glitter

Coverage: 3 coats

Notes: The application was incredibly smooth, and it built up to full coverage with three coats.

Endymion

Formula: Nice consistency

Finish: Rich green creme

Coverage: 2 coats

Notes: This is the perfect green creme. From formula to finish it was exactly what I hoped for.

Who Dat?

Formula: Nice consistency

Finish: Black creme with gold glitter and flakies

Coverage: 2 coats

Notes: The gold flecks look really neat up close. They show a little bit of the black through them.

Nimbus

Formula: Nice consistency

Finish: Purple, green, and gold flakie topper

Coverage: 1 coat

Notes: I was really happy with the application of this topper. All of the flakies laid flat, and were easy to move around if needed.

Fleur de Lis Polish Bacchus Color Club Harp On It UberChic 4-03

Of all of the colors, I was especially fond of Bacchus. I decided to do some simple stamping over it using Color Club Harp On It and UberChic plate 4-03.

Conclusion

I'm really impressed with Fleur de Lis Polish's first collection. The formulas are exactly like what I would expect from a seasoned indie maker. I'm looking forward to seeing what she comes up with in the future.

ILNP Mountain View & Ten Fold with UberChic Wild West Stamping

I'm changing things up a little bit for this post. I wanted to start you guys off with close ups of ILNP Mountain View and Ten Fold. There's so much going on with these colors that I wanted to show them off before I added some stamping.

Those flakies in Mountain View are so, so good.

How about the flecks and holo in Ten Fold?! I would love to see more shades like that.

Ok, enough drooling. Here's what I did with the both of them:

ILNP Ten Fold Mountain View UberChic Wild West Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Sonic Bloom

This mani is pretty straightforward just like most of my stamped manis. I started with a base of ILNP Mountain View and Ten Fold. From there I stamped over Mountain View with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Sonic Bloom and UberChic Wild West. Once the stamp had an adequate amount of time to dry, I topped it with a quick dry top coat.
