I'm back with the third prompt from the @Clairestelle8challenge. The prompt was purple, which gives a pretty wide array to pick from. I decided to keep it fairly simple with a purple on purple design featuring UberChic stamping.
Products used
- Colors by Llarowe- A Lot More Help Sucking Up
- UberChic Beauty- 4-02
- Sally Hansen Insta-Dri- Pronto Purple
- Essie- Matte About You
What did you come up with for the challenge? If you aren't participating, what direction do you think you would have taken this prompt?

Hey guys! I hope you are having a great Tuesday. I'm currently hopped up on caffeine and trap music, so this post may have an insane amount of enthusiasm for this early in the morning. I just got this super cute Harry Potter set from Northern Star Cosmetics, and I couldn't wait to share it with you. When I say just got it, I mean that it landed in my mailbox yesterday afternoon and I swatched it last night. It's that awesome!
The set comes with Protego Totalum, Butter Brew cuticle oil, lightning bolt glitter, owl charms, and an adorable Deathly Hallows totem. It's so freaking perfect that I can't even handle it. I don't know about you, but I always wanted an owl as a pet because of Hedwig. These owl charms are probably the closest I will ever get to that.
I didn't think I could get more excited about this set until I smelled the butter brew cuticle oil. It's sweet and delightful without overpowering. At 10mL the bottle is huge, but I don't see it lasting long because of how delicious it smells.

Protego Totalum
Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Red holo with light gold micro glitter
Coverage: 2 thin coats
Notes: This color has so much depth it's mesmerizing. I see many holiday manis coming from this beauty!

The last part of this set is this super cute Deathly Hallows glitter totem. The loose glitter can be used, but the idea of having a glitter totem made me extremely happy. I decided to leave it in the bottle as a sparkly decoration.
Conclusion
I can't get enough of this Harry Potter set from Northern Star Cosmetics. It goes beyond every Potterhead lacquerista's wildest dreams. I certainly can't wait to see what else Northern Star creates in the future!
The Harry Potter set will be available on November 13th at 12pm CDT for $17.50.
My Wing Dust love continues with State of Dreaming. This is obviously an older swatch as my nails have changed and Oregon doesn't know what the sun looks like this time of year.
Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Deep blue holo with various shapes and sizes of blue and pink glitter
Coverage: 3 coats
I hope you guys are having a great weekend so far! I have a quick post featuring today's prompt for the @clairestelle8challenge. The prompt was "woodland" so I tried to stick with colors and things you would see in nature.

I have another summery post because why not! I think my days of hoarding swatches are over. I'm going to unleash everything I have stockpiled for the swatch-pocalypse. I don't think we are expecting zombies anytime soon, so I may as well clear out the dust and move on.

I just a little disclaimer on My Darling Curios- Key West Wing. As gorgeous as the green is, it was a major stainer for me.
Are "stainers" a deal breaker for you guys?
Hey guys! I hope you are having a fantastic Friday. The weather is gorgeous around here (for once), and it's really putting me in a good mood.
I wanted to write a quick post for all of you Fitbit users out there. Fitbit is running another FitForGood challenge where your steps get translated into charity donations. Here's a screenshot I took from the website:

Kendahl is quite possibly the coolest friend a girl could ever have. After hearing that my two year blogiversary was coming up, she insisted on creating me an LE custom. I had no idea what she was working on, but I was delighted when Not So Terrible Twos showed up at my door.
Not So Terrible Twos
Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Light green holo with holo glitter
Coverage: Two coats
Notes: This is significantly lighter than Barium & Potassium = True Love.
Conclusion
So you want a bottle of this fantastic polish. The only way to get your hands on one is to enter my two year blogiversary. If you want to have Kendahl make you a custom, you can contact her through her Etsy shop listed below.
I should win an award for the greatest number of out-of-season manis ever posted. I swear this was supposed to be published before Halloween, but it just didn't happen. Things got shifted around to accommodate reviews, and this ended up at the bottom of the pile. I personally love Halloween, so a slightly out-of-season mani is no big deal to me.

I decided to take the plunge and try out a nail art challenge. I've wanted to do one for ages, but I always seemed to find challenges half-way through. After watching some of my favorite Instagram nail artists do last month's @clairestelle8 challenge, I decided to join them for the month of November.
For the first challenge I was going to do Spongebob and Gary, but there seems to be an uptick in Instagram banning accounts. Spongebob is copyrighted, so I didn't want to risk it. Honestly, it's probably for the best. I haven't painted seriously in about four years, and my skills are pretty rusty. Instead of Spongebob I decided to go with something more simplistic.

The wonderful people at Averniro reached out to me to see if I would be interested in reviewing a handful of their glass nail file products. I was in desperate need of a decent nail file, so I was thrilled to have the opportunity to try these out.
This has two different types of etching. One side is coarse to deal with callouses while the other side is significantly more smooth for a perfect finish. This file is the secret to smooth feet. I've only had this kind of smoothness after a salon pedicure.
I'm a huge fan of this tool. At first I had no idea what this was supposed to be used for. I checked it out on their website and learned that it can be used for a variety of things. Both ends work well for removing burrs that get trapped under your nails after filing. The flat portion (right side of the photo) is not etched on the bottom, so it can be used to push back cuticles. With my recent change in nail shape, I've found that the pointy end (left side) is fantastic for shaping my almond nails up near the sidewall.
This is a double sided nail file with cute crystals used to decorate the end.
Just as it sounds, this is a full sized nail file. It's great for your everyday needs.

Mini Nail File
This cutie is a mini nail file. It's about two thirds the size of a standard file. I personally found this size to be best for carrying in my purse. It's small enough that I don't have to worry about it breaking, while large enough to be useful and easy to find.
Conclusion
I am really pleased with the quality of nail files available from Averniro. They hold up to frequent sanitation and use. If you are on the market for a new set, I can't say enough about this brand.
