Sally Hansen Insta-Ombre Review
June 22, 2015Sally Hansen Insta-Ombre Review Press Sample
Sally Hansen's Insta-Ombre collection features tiny glitters used to create a glitter gradient. The name can be a little confusing because ombre refers to colors fading from light to dark, rather than a gradual increase in frequency.
The bottle states that it should be applied to the nail in three coats. The first covers the whole nail, the second covers the bottom two thirds, and the third covers the last third of your nail. I used this application for all three manis.
Scarlet Spark
Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Clear with glitter
Coverage: 3 coats
Notes: I applied each coat after wiping off half of the brush so that I had more control over the glitter.
Layer on Lilac
Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Clear with glitter
Coverage: 3 coats
Notes: After trying one method of application I decided to be a little more generous with how much polish I used. I feel like it helped the glitter frequency toward the tip.
Cobalt Coat
Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Clear with glitter
Coverage: 3 coats
Notes: I scraped almost all the polish off the brush until there was a small bead left before applying each coat. Overall, I think I like this application method best.
The Sally Hansen Insta-Ombre collection comes in eight different colors. They are currently available at Walmart, CVS, Target, Walgreens, Ulta, and Kmart for $5.99.

There pretty and seem to work but I rather just use whatever glitter I feel like to create an ombre for myself.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of these polishes. Maybe they would be better over a color? Ah well, I'm still a fan of your nails!
