If you were here yesterday you saw my full review of Harunouta Potted Plant Garden Plate L036. Since I've already done a formal review, I wanted to give you another example of how beautiful and unique that plate is.

Many of you know that I'm succulent and cactus obsessed, but I also LOVE hydrangea. Just ask my husband. Before we planted them I would point them out everywhere. I'm pretty sure it drove him nuts. We now have three different variety and I'm hoping to pick up a few more in the next couple of years. This mani is a tribute to my favorite non-drought resistant flower.

I am so obsessed with Harunouta plates it's not even funny. I don't know how describe it but the style of Harunouta plates always catches my attention. For today's look I thought I would share the latest Harunouta plate in my collection. This is Born Pretty Store Harunouta Potted Plant Garden plate L036 (item #38420)

One of my favorite "surprise" nail mail packages is always from Born Pretty Store. I know it sounds silly, but because of the duration of international shipping I occasionally forget that I have stuff on the way. It tends to make nail mail extra delightful.


The first item I want to share with you is this awesome Born Pretty Store Rectangle Plate Organizer (item #20045). While most of my rectangular plates come with sleeves for protection, I would prefer to view them all at once.

Happy Friday! Today's post features the Baroness X March 2017 Monthly Mythical Mysteries box. March's box contained one polish and one Acetone Antidote. I'm going to focus on Minthe today since I have not yet had the need to mix up a new Acetone Antidote. I will say that Mojito smells amazing and that I can't wait to use it.

Oh hello shift! The cab topper and polish description inspired me to tease out the most dramatic shift possible.


Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: A shifting green to pink to peach polish with holo pigment in a light gray base with a sprinkle of gold to green to blue micro flakies.
Coverage: 3 coats
Notes: My swatches show three coats with the final coat sponged on to entirely eliminate brushstrokes. Brush strokes tend to happen with pearly finishes like this one, but I didn't find them to be particularly bothersome with Minthe. I sponged on the final coat just to show that you can completely eliminate them if you wish to do so.

Oh Unicorn Pee! The magical pigment that drives people insane. It's most frequently associated with Clarins 230, but Unicorn Pee (as it's fondly called in the nail polish world) is found in many other nail polish shades. The pigment has been elusive and highly coveted since it was discontinued long ago. When ILNP announced that they had stumbled upon a stash of Unicorn Pee I just about lost my mind.

You see, there's a bit of a backstory to why I love Unicorn Pee. Sure, it's magical with the rainbow shift, but that's not the only reason I love it. Back before I was a certified nail polish addict I had a cute little stash of 40-50 assorted shades. One of these was Liquid Euphoria Bliss. My mom worked inventories back when I was a teen, and one night she brought home this intriguing shade she purchased while working a Hot Topic. It was the most glorious shade I had ever laid eyes on. It immediately became the star of my collection and was used frequently.

Fast forward to my early 20's and the bottle is only a quarter full and dried out. I googled like a mad woman only to find that the Liquid Euphoria brand was long discontinued. I quickly gave up hope knowing I could never spend $50+ on a used bottle of polish. I eventually discovered the indie scene a few years later, and the rest is history.

You better believe I purchased two bottles of ILNP The Magician. At $12.50/ea I couldn't pass up such an affordable opportunity to stock up on my favorite shifty pigment.

For this look I decided to stay away from the typical purple/blue base and opted to go with a more unlikely pairing. This is ILNP The Magician over Morgan Taylor Oh Para-chute! (press sample). It's an odd pairing, but they work quite well together. This doesn't shift as dramatically over this pale green/gray as it would over a darker shade, but it does shift. You just have to catch it in the right lighting.

Finish: Rainbow shifting unicorn pee topper
Coverage: 1 coat over Morgan Taylor Oh Para-chute (press sample)
Notes: The most dramatic shifts kept happening when I didn't have my dslr in hand... like when I was at the gym sitting on the stage. It was incredibly odd and unpredictable.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer We Saw the Stars Collection - Press sample

I'm back with more Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer swatches as promised. Today's swatches are from the We Saw the Stars collection which is unfortunately no longer available. Maybe if you ask Julie really nicely, she might bring back some of your favorites.

I originally intended this to be posted last Friday, but we had a massive storm that blew several transformers in our area. The power went out early Friday morning, and didn't get restored until the wee hours of Saturday morning. Without further ado here's a partial review of Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer We Saw the Stars.

Finish: Periwinkle with gold shimmer and purple & red micro flakies
Coverage: 2 coats
Notes: Aren't you just in love with those flakies? They are so perfect with this periwinkle!

To Dawn from Dusk

Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Navy jelly with iridescent shifting micro glitters, clear holo micro glitter, copper shimmer, and red micro flakies
Coverage: 2 coats
Notes: This is one of my favorite shades from this collection. The shifty glitter paired with the dark navy base creates a lovely, squishy look.
